João Pedro Nascimento (Researcher at FeedInov CoLab)
Holding a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a master’s degree in Aquaculture and Fisheries from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology at the University of Algarve, João Pedro Nascimento has extensive experience in food quality control and animal farming. Currently a Researcher at FeedInov CoLab in the Environment & Sustainability department, his work focuses on strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in livestock production, particularly in the dairy sector. Through nutritional interventions, farm optimization, and manure management, he combines experimental research with carbon footprint assessments and emission factor development to support sustainability and environmental reporting in the agri-food sector.
