Laís Ângelo de Abreu holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Northern Tocantins (UFNT), a Master’s and PhD in Animal Reproduction from the University of São Paulo (USP), an MBA in Agribusiness from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (ESALQ/USP), and a postgraduate degree in Anthropology from Faculdade Mar Atlântico (FMA/RJ). During her PhD, she completed a research exchange at Université Laval, Canada. Her professional experience combines scientific research and practical projects conducted in partnership with commercial farms, laboratories, and private companies in Brazil, Australia, the United States, and Canada. She received the Young Researcher Award from UFNT and has been recognized five times for Best Applied Research Paper by the Brazilian Embryo Technology Society (SBTE). Her research and professional activities focus on animal reproduction and production, livestock sustainability, food safety, and the evaluation and application of technologies in production systems. She has served as a scientific reviewer and delivered more than 60 lectures at national and international congresses, symposia, and technical events. She also works as a consultant and invited lecturer in postgraduate programs.
